Apigee Developer Certification

Apigee offers two levels of certification that allow you to demonstrate your knowledge developing an API solution using API Services functionality in Apigee Edge.

Who is it for?

Apigee Certification is an accreditation from Apigee that you have completed the requirements that demonstrate a level of proficiency (either basic or advanced) using Apigee products, processes and practices. Apigee Developer Certification is usually pursued by Apigee customers and Systems Integration partners who are experienced developers and have designed, developed and implemented APIs in Apigee Edge. It is expected that certification candidates have completed the recommended training or have the equivalent skills and knowledge on the topics covered by the exam.

What's involved?

There are two certification levels:

  1. Level 1 Apigee Developer Certification. A proctored 125 item multiple-choice test that must be completed within 120 minutes. No reference materials are permitted during the exam. You must earn 70% or more to earn your Level 1 Developer Certification.
  2. Level 2 Apigee Developer Certification. A practical exam that requires you to implement a scenario-based API solution followed by a fifteen minute interview regarding aspects of your implementation. You will have two weeks to complete the exam. Expect to spend eight hours on the implementation and fifteen minutes on the interview. You must earn your Level 1 Apigee Developer Certification before you are eligible to sit for the Level 2 Developer Certification.

How do I register for the exam?

How much does it cost?

Each attempt at the Level 1 exam is $100. Each attempt at the Level 2 exam is $400. You cannot take the test more than 3 times without clearance from gcp-edge-certification@google.com.

How long do I have to wait for the results?

You will receive your score on the Level 1 exam immediately after completion. If you get a 70% or more, you can then register for the Level 2 exam using the same process that you registered for the Level 1 exam.

It takes approximately 3-4 weeks after you complete the Level 2 exam to receive your results.
